2009 Buddy Walk® and Family Fun Day

October 4th, 2009, 10 A.M. – 1 P.M. at Villanova University Stadium

Visit the event fundraising website to register for the event, organize a team, join a team, or make a donation. Celebrate our kids and raise funds for the Trisomy 21 Program at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

A family fun festival and optional two-mile walk:

  • Meet PBS KIDS Sprout’s friend Elmo from Sesame Street® and other celebrities

  • Jump in the moonbounces

Organize Your Buddy Walk® Team

Organizing your yeam is EASY! And it's the best way to raise money for the event. Read the three-step overview below before you begin downloading the forms and organizing your team.


Team Captain Information

The following downloadable Microsoft Word documents contain all the information you’ll need to organize your team.


This is an overview of the steps you need to take as a Team Captain:

  • Set Up Your Team’s Web Page

    Begin the process of building your Buddy Walk® team by setting up a team web page. Follow the instructions provided below.

  • Invite Your Friends and Family to Participate

    You will be able to email your family and friends right from your team’s website and invite them to register as part of your team. Teams raising $500 or more will be listed on the Buddy Walk® t-shirt (donations must be received by CHOP by September 14, 2009 to be included on the shirt).

  • Request That Donations Be Made Online

    We encourage everyone to register and donate online whenever possible. It is quick, easy, and SECURE. Donors receive timely acknowledgement of their gift and a tax receipt, and you are immediately notified of their participation.
